Fish Loreto Baja California Sur, Mexico

Loreto Baja California Sur, Mexico

Discover beautiful dreams while relaxing peacefully on the shores of the Sea of Cortes. Loreto is Baja’s oldest city and the very first Historical Capital of the California’s, which was founded as the first Mission – nuestra Senora de Loreto on October 25, 1697, by Italian Jesuit Juan Maria Salvatierra.

Loreto, Baja California, Sportfishing CharterThe city of Loreto is located in the central part of the State of Baja California Sur, and to the South and East is the Gulf of California, also known as Sea of Cortes. Loreto has 110 miles of coastline, 3 small inlets and 7 Islands, which is protected as part of Loreto Bay National Marine Park.

With year round climate average temperatures in the 80’s fahrenheit, Loreto has plenty to offer. For instance, you can visit the Mission of Loreto, The Museum De Las Misiones, and the second mission Mission of San Javier, a spectacular building constructed on stone blocks quarried from nearby Arroyo de Santa Domingo.

Other activities of course include plenty of ocean sports: kayaking, diving, snorkeling, and swimming the blue clear waters. There is also horseback riding, golfing, four wheeling, shopping, car and bicycle rentals are available. Afterward, enjoy some hammock time along with some of our great margaritas.

Another side trip to consider is a boat ride or fishing the nearby Islands of Carmen, Coronado, Danzante, and Monserate which host sea lion colonies.

Fish Costa Rica

In the distance you can see the tip of Panama across the Gulfo Dulce.  Behind you are acres of primary forest teaming with wildlife. Below are magnificent beaches with some of the greatest fishing and surfing in the world.

Built over 500 feet above the sea, Tres Palmas resort catches the cooling tropical breezes coming from the Gulfo Dulce and Pacific Ocean.  The sound of the surf rolling in the distance, scarlet macaws calling to their mates, while howler monkeys cavort overhead, lull you into a sense of harmony with nature.

In the midst of this spectacular setting, a secluded and exotic house has been built  in modern Spanish style under a massive palm thatched roof.

The area was once home to the Brunca Indians that settled in southern Costa Rica and the western part of Panama.  Pieces of native pottery can be found by those that care to look.  The Indians considered this a holy place and many who stay here find a spiritual peace that is quite uplifting.

Tres Palmas property is home to four types of monkey, hundreds of bird species, sloth, iguana, anteaters, and a myriad of other animal and plant species. This magical place offers the rare opportunity to experience nature at its most spectacular and unspoiled.

Fish Homer or Seward in Alaska?

Seward Halibut  fishingSeward Alaska is being recognized more and more by anglers for its incredible halibut fishing.  Subtler currents in Seward means less weight is needed to fish the bottom, thus you use lighter tackle and that means you fight the fish and less of your tackle. In Seward Alaska you can fish the entire tide cycle. More time to fish means more fishing fun.

World Record Sized Halibut Caught In Seward

Homer Alaska fishing charter companies also often talk about the size of the fish they catch, and rightfully so.  However, in Seward Alaska, the fish get just as big and their average size fish caught can be larger.  Seward’s halibut have been known to top the scales over 350 pounds!  Near world record sized Pacific Halibut have been caught in the waters of Seward Alaska, as well as dozens of light tackle records.

We think fishing for halibut in Seward Alaska is exceptional. If you want more information please visit Crackerjack Sportfishing for more information.

Fish Alberta Canada Big Trout Heaven

Fly fishermen call the trout laden waters of Southern Alberta the “Montana of the North”. These “tailwater” rivers are fertile with abundant aquatic bugs which makes an astounding fishery from June to mid-September. Because of limited access to the best trout fishing waters, it is unlikely you’ll see another fishermen during your daily outing.  Most flyfishers who fish the Southern Alberta waters will tell you, “this is what Montana use to be like 20 years ago” A must for all trout flyfishers!

Fishabout and Outfitter, Cam Jensen of McGrath, Alberta, offer the best selected weeks each season. Each of the weeks are 5 days of expertly guided fishing, limited to 6 anglers, using convenient and comfortable inns for accommodations and meals. Daily fishing is guided by wade-walking or floating selected rivers.

Generally, summer weather is cool sunny days with the the low to mid 70’s, but changes can occur in mountainous regions rapidly, so always travel prepared and pack the proper clothing for both fishing and relaxing. The local Mountain View area is miles of fertile rolling hills, with flourishing fields of wheat and grazing grasses. The melting snow of late spring fills the many resevoirs and the valuable water is released as demanded by the farms needs; thus producing this wonderful fishery that is touted as one of the best in North America!

Each week is limited to only 6 anglers, to keep a minimum of fishing pressure on the best rivers. The majority of the rivers will be on “private posted” locations so the outfitter and guides maintain their set-rotating schedule on where to fish.

Fly fishing guests, fly to Calgary, Alberta and drive their rental auto to Beaver Mines, a community located in southern Alberta, near the entrance to scenic Waterton Lakes National Park. The area offers some of the most beautiful scenery, bordering Canada and the United States. Anglers can also choose by flying into Kalispell, Montana, visiting Glacier National Park, before driving to the selected Mountain View facilities, if they wish.

This is truly our best trout fishery.

$2500.00 for 6 nights and 5 full days of guided fishing.

Please check out Fishabout Outfitters to book this trip of a lifetime.
